I’m Emma Stubbs, an artist based in the North East of Scotland - much of my artwork draws on the big skies, rugged landscape and coast of this area.I have been painting for over 25 years with the occasional pause for travel, to raise kids and tackle Parkinson's. I live with my two teenagers, partner and a rather neurotic border collie.

My artwork celebrates the essence of water, air, fire, and earth through vibrant paintings of mountains, bubbles, rainbows, seas, and clouds.Inspired by the beauty and energy of the elements, I strive to evoke a sense of wonder and connection in every artwork.

I love to paint on a huge scale but as someone with Parkinson’s Disease, I am unable to cope with the physicality of such projects. Now I focus on capturing wild elements on a smaller scale - which is probably much easier to hang in your average house!
